Vikings fans are paying way less than some NFL rivals.

Many people, including one of my co-workers purchased memorabilia from the old home of the Minnesota Vikings and The Minnesota Twins, but they purchased their actual season ticket seats. That is cool, and worth getting, but a gross used urinal?

The plug was pulled on the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome early Saturday morning (January 18, 2014) as crews allowed the roof to deflate in the demolition process that will lead up to a new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings.

Since being constructed in 1981, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome has deflated five times; most of which were caused by heavy snow. The sixth, and final deflation of the 'Dome' will come on purpose Saturday, January 18.

Dear Metrodome, Thanks for the great memories, NFL games, regular and playoff, baseball games, including two World Series and various other events, but now the end of your life has come, and I have to be honest, I'm not sad to see you go.

As the Minnesota Vikings are set to kick off the NFL Preseason tonight at the Metrodome against the Houston Texans, they remind fans of a new safety policy regarding what you can bring into NFL stadiums - a policy which starts tonight.

This year marks a bittersweet end of the Metrodome as the home of the Minnesota Vikings and many other big sports moments in Minnesota history.

The Minnesota Vikings will kick off their final season at the Metrodome with a preseason game against the Houston Texans on August 9th and wrap up the regular season by playing divisional rivals Detroit Lions on December 29th, and tickets for these two matchups and the seven others go on sale July 16th.

While the tailgating experience looks to improve with the construction of the new Vikings stadium in a few years, fans will have a new way to party and get ready for games at the Metrodome: Railgating.
