The State Patrol responded to the scene shortly before 1:45 a.m.

The State Patrol says the victim lost control while driving a pickup on a Highway just east of St. Cloud.

First responders across the state responded to five deadly crashes between December 28 and December 30.

The State Patrol says the driver lost control at the exit to his home.

"I saw them pulling the blanket over the deceased, and it clicked in my brain that this is bad. Very, very bad."

The State Patrol reported the driver had pulled over along the freeway to do some maintenance work on the rig.
