A moose can weigh up to 1,500 pounds, so I can imagine trying to rescue one isn't an easy thing to do, especially in the ice and water!

I am far from being an outdoors explorer so my chances of ever seeing a moose is pretty rare, unless I happen to be hanging out in Lester Park at just the right time.  But this is an extra cool experience that is very rare to see.

A family picnic at Lester Park in Duluth was interrupted as a bull moose decided to come play at the park.

Running into a full-grown moose in real life would be terrifying at worst, disconcerting at best. Running into a tiny baby moose, on the other hand, would be adorable. Who knew? Now you know. Enjoy these pictures of little moose calves.

A truck carrying fireworks struck a moose on the Trans Canada Highway near Wawa, Ontario on Friday morning.
