Minnesota Power is reporting a power outage for people in a number of adjacent neighborhoods in the Duluth area. Hermantown, Piedmont Heights, Duluth Heights, and Cody are among areas being impacted by a power outage that started at 6:43 am Tuesday morning.

An estimated 2,700 customers remain without power as of 9:15 am, as crews work on the issue. There is no known cause for the outage at this time.

Minnesota Power's website reports an estimated timeframe for power restoration of 11:30, though it is important to note that this is just an estimate, and may change as crews continue to work on the problem.
