It is that time of year again in the Northland, and all over the state. The dreaded tick season.

Living in this area once the weather gets warmer locals and tourists alike are on the hiking trails, camping, golfing, you name it. We know the window is very small to get everything done so we try an cram as much as we can into each day.

According to researchers, once the temp hits 40 degrees the ticks will be out. I am not someone who is in the woods or fields on a regular basis, but ticks hang out in grass too. We all have heard the precautions, but it never hurts to brush up on your knowledge. I know for us with 2 dogs and two cats we need to get a lot of tick protection medicine which is very expensive, but worth every penny.
