Several intersections will be getting a makeover in the coming weeks as a traffic signal painting project is set to begin next week in Downtown Duluth.

Work is scheduled to start on Monday, June 26th and continue through the summer. Each intersection will take approximately 2 weeks to complete, weather dependant of course.

According to the city, "Lane shifts and lane closures will be necessary to setup equipment required for painting. Motorists should be aware of the contractor/equipment working at these intersections, proceed with caution and follow the temporary traffic control setup for each work zone."

Here is a list of the intersections that will be painted:

North 1st Avenue East and 2nd Street
North 1st Avenue East and 3rd Street
North 2nd Avenue East and 2nd Street
North 3rd Avenue East and 2nd Street
North 3rd Avenue East and 3rd Street
North 4th Avenue West and 2nd Street
North 4th Avenue West and 3rd Street
North 5th Avenue East and 2nd Street
North 5th Avenue East and 3rd Street
North 6th Avenue East and 3rd Street
