Yum! New Sushi + Ramen Restaurant Opens In Duluth

A brand-new restaurant just opened in the Twin Ports area, offering a variety of sushi, sashimi, ramen, salads, and more.

Earlier this summer, we shared that signage was going up at the old Blue Rock Grill location near the Miller Hill Mall in Duluth - located at 1702 Miller Trunk Highway in Suite 107. The signage heralded the pending arrival of a new sushi and ramen restaurant called Ichiro Sushi & Ramen.

Since the signage went up this summer, details have been sparse about when the restaurant would open. Regular remodeling activity could be seen at the restaurant location, pointing to what seemed like a short wait before the business would open.

The Duluth City Council approved an alcohol license for the establishment at the end of summer, hinting an opening was coming soon, but it wasn't until just recently a sign appeared on the business's door, saying they'd be open on Sunday, October 1.

Ahead of their opening, they shared a video on their Facebook page, giving a peek inside of the new restaurant.

A handful of days later, they opened to the public!

Following their opening, they shared a thank you message and some photos of a handful of their expansive menu on Facebook. Here's a peek to get you hungry.

Now that Ichiro Sushi & Ramen has opened, you might be wondering a little more about what's on the menu.

Upon opening, Ichiro's menu features a couple of soup and salad offerings like miso soup and seafood soup, black pepper tuna salad, sashimi salad, and seaweed salad. Appetizers like Agedashi tofu, fried squid, cheese wonton, and edamame and a sushi bar appetizer option are available as well to kick off your meal.

At center stage, of course, is a huge selection of different rolls, sushi, sashimi, and ramen dishes (with a number of toppings) as well as a number of entrees like chicken or lobster teriyaki or vegetable tempura, all of which come with a side of miso soup or salad and rice.

The restaurant does feature a beautiful on-site dining area, but you can also order their food items to go! You can find their menu and place orders via their website.

Ichiro Sushi and Ramen is open 7 days a week, Monday-Thursday 11 am to 9 pm, Friday & Saturday 11 am to 10 pm, and Sundays noon to 9 pm.
