World-renowned actor Sir Ian McKellen is known by most Americans for his roles as Ganfalf in The Lord of the Rings franchise and Magneto in most of the X-Men movies. His accent and classical British style aren't generally things one would associate with Sir Mix-A-Lot's song "Baby Got Back", but one young man decided to mix the two in a hilarious blend.

Moviegoers will have much to choose from this weekend – the first being the much-anticipated blockbuster ‘The Green Lantern,’ starring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

Though the movie wasn’t exactly praised by critics, the hype surrounding the comic-book adaptation should translate into a lot of, well, green at the box office.

Also opening this weekend: the family-friendly vehicle ‘Mr. Popper’s Penguins,’ starring funnyman Jim Carrey in the title role.

Weekend Box Office: 'X-Men: First Class' Underwhelms

As many predicted, 'X-Men: First Class' easily took the top spot at the box office this weekend.

Still, the Marvel reboot, which traced the beginnings of the 'X-Men' characters, managed to fall well below expectations, taking in just $56.0 million. To put things in perspective: That's the lowest debut by an 'X-Men' movie since the franchise launched in 2000, with $54.5 million.

In an already jam-packed summer movie season, director Matthew Vaughn hopes to impress audiences with his latest movie, 'X-Men: First Class,' a reboot of the Marvel movie series that takes fans back to the beginning (or in this case, the Cold War-era '60s).

Already, the film has impressed critics; it currently has over a 95 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But will audiences flock to see it in our local Marcus Theatres? We'll know in a few days.
