148th Fighter Wing Can Virtually Run the William A. Irvin 5K

The 148th Fighter Wing is currently deployed to southwest Asia, in support of United States Air Forces Central Command operations; but this won't stop them from participating in the 42nd Annual Grandma’s Marathon Weekend.

The 148th has organized a private 5K which will allow 148th members who are registered participants to participate from anywhere in the world, including their location in southwest Asia.

“Grandma’s Marathon is honored to support the 148th through this opportunity. We want to provide them with as much community support as possible given their situation,” states Shane Bauer, Executive Director of Grandma’s Marathon.

All participants will be awarded the 25th Annual William A. Irvin 5K participant shirts, finisher medals, and commemorative socks.
