5 Pokemon Go Gyms and Pokestops in Duluth / Superior

If you haven't heard, there's a new phenomenon taking over in the pop culture world.

Pokemon Go has swept the nation in the last week, and it looks like the game will surpass Twitter in active daily active users very soon.

The game itself is described by their website as, "Travel between the real world and the virtual world of Pokémon with Pokémon GO for iPhone and Android devices. With Pokémon GO, you’ll discover Pokémon in a whole new world—your own! Pokémon GO is built on Niantic’s Real World Gaming Platform and will use real locations to encourage players to search far and wide in the real world to discover Pokémon. Pokémon GO allows you to find and catch more than a hundred species of Pokémon as you explore your surroundings."

If you've been seeing an abundance of people walking around with their phones out, there's a good chance Pokemon Go is the reason. The game is centered around the player having to walk around and catch Pokemon. You also can go to area's in town that are called 'Pokestop's' and Gym's' that can help you within the game.

Popular places for these Pokestops and Gyms are things like churches, parks, and colleges.

According to the Ingress Map, which uses the same map as Pokemon Go, here are some potential spots in the Duluth/Superior area that will attract users of the game.
