A Night to Shine is an event from the Tim Tebow Foundation that helps celebrate people with special needs and it is coming to Proctor.

Thanks to Proctor Public Schools and the Augustana Lutheran Church, this amazing event is happening in the Duluth area. Proctor Public Schools rushed to their Facebook account to announce great news earlier today. The Night to Shine event will be happening on February 10th, 2017.

According to the website, Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. This event happens all across the country as churches host this amazing night.

This year there are total of six Night to Shine Proms happening in Minnesota (Albert Lea, Alexandria, Duluth, Fridley, Prior Lake, and St. Paul). In Duluth, it will be held at Augustana Lutheran Church.

Here's how the event makes the night memorable:

Every guest of Night to Shine enters this complimentary event on a red carpet to a cheering crowd and friendly paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining stations, corsages and boutonnieres, a karaoke room and, of course, dancing!

Where everyone is the prom king and prom queen, it truly is an unforgettable time and I love that this is coming to the Duluth area. You can get all the details here and check out a video highlight of last year's Night to Shine Above.
