Adele is fully recovered from her throat surgery, and it inspired her to get healthier in other areas of her life, too — not just her voice. The Sun is reporting that the ‘Rumour Has It’ singer is making a conscious effort to get fit.

Adele wants to shed two dress sizes by this summer, so she’s been working out more than just her vocal cords. She’s hired a personal trainer to visit her at home twice a week and joined a Pilates class at the suggestion of her friend, British television personality Alan Carr. She and Carr even made plans to go running together with their dogs. Cute!

A friend told the paper, “Adele has found so much more energy now she’s quit smoking. She really wants to get healthier, now that she’s half-way there. She had always been curious about taking up Pilates but until recently there just hadn’t been any time.”

However, don’t be quick to assume that Adele’s weight loss has anything to do with the media’s speculation on her size (here’s lookin’ at you, Karl Lagerfeld). She simply just wants more energy and to physically feel better. Adele is also being careful not to alienate her fans, some of whom embraced her not just for her huge voice, but for being confidant as is. We’re just happy that she’s healthy — the better she feels, the more likely we’ll be to see her on a stage!
