An ATV Damaged Hawks Ridge Snowmobile Trail

I personally am not someone who rides a snowmobile or ATV but I respect the fact that many people put a lot of time and energy into keeping these trails maintained for everyone to enjoy. But now it seems that someone on an ATV and possibly a truck has caused damage on about 5oo feet of snowmobile trail at Hawks Ridge.

According to WDIO The city of Duluth said at least 1 ATV got through a barrier that workers opened to access a water tank . The city now has a barrier in place to block the trail once East Skyline Parkway is open for the season. The Parks Department is working with the Duluth Police Department on what it will cost to repair the trail.

So far no word on if anyone has been cited for the damage to the trails.
