We hope you Motherlovers are ready for this news: Andy Samberg and his pals from The Lonely Island are teaming up with Judd Apatow to make a movie. This news is so logical that we're surprised it didn't happen five years ago and isn't already an underrated comedy classic.

According to Variety, Andy Samberg and his partners Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone are teaming up for a new, untitled movie, which will be produced by Judd Apatow and take place in the world of music -- which means we'll probably be getting some new songs from The Lonely Island. Maybe they'll even release a new album to coincide with the film? And it's probably a safe bet that we'll get an appearance from Justin Timberlake, but we're really hoping for cameos from Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson.

Schaffer and Taccone will co-direct the new movie, which doesn't have a title or release date yet. Schaffer previously directed the trio's 2007 film 'Hot Rod,' which became an instant cult classic, while Taccone wrote and directed 'MacGruber,' another underrated comedy gem with a huge cult following.

The Lonely Island made music videos for 'SNL' from 2005 to 2011, including hits like "Dick in a Box," "Lazy Sunday," "Jizz in My Pants," and "I'm on a Boat." Collaborators for their tracks and videos have included the likes of Justin Timberlake, Adam Levine, Michael Bolton, and Nicki Minaj.

All right, boys, our expectations are set pretty high for this one. If Taccone can't give us a 'MacGruber' sequel right now, this movie is kind of the next best thing.
