A Minnesota TV production team is holding an open online casting call for a new reality TV show they're calling "Hockey Moms". The casting call is going on through Wednesday, September 9 and anyone interested in trying to be part of the show is encouraged to go through the application process on the show's website.

The show will explore the competitive world of youth hockey in the "State of Hockey", following the lives of hockey moms around the state. The crew say they are looking for individuals with the "it" factor, with charismatic and vibrant personalities.

The team behind the show wanted to go to production last year, however they couldn't find a home for the show to air. That problem has now been solved. KSTC 45 in the Twin Cities and ABC 6 in Rochester (both owned by Hubbard Broadcasting) will air the show, with the first airdate set for December 26 of this year. While KSTC may be available to some satellite TV subscribers in the Twin Ports, there's no word whether or not the local Hubbard TV station WDIO (or anyone else) will pick the show up locally.

Beside the premiere date of December 26, the show's website also points out special showings following the Minnesota State Girls Hockey AA Championship on February 20, and the season finale will air at 6:30 on Saturday March 5 of 2016, right before the AA Boys State Hockey Championship game.
