Christina Aguilera's latest album 'Lotus' will hit store shelves and iTunes next Tuesday, Nov. 13, and understandably so, the powerhouse vocalist is in promotion mode.

At a small album event preview, Aguilera, dressed in camouflage pants and a beige hat, and rocking some serious red and pink dip-dyed ends to her platinum blond locks, discussed the album in detail. "This is my record, as in every record, this is my heart. It's a labor of love, it's not just songs," said the singer. "These are blood, sweat, and tears, and stuff from the heart. That's why I take time in between my records."

She continued to explain to her select few guests her album process, making sure fans get to experience how she's grown as an artist and as a woman. "I've come with something new and different each time," explained Aguilera.

"Being able to inspire a whole new generation of say, six-year-olds, who weren't even around for 'Genie in a Bottle' or 'Beautiful' or 'Fighter,' and you'll hear on this record I've written songs especially for the next generation to hopefully inspire new singers with raw talent and a realness," she said of 'where her inspiration came when writing and recording 'Lotus.'

Aguilera also made sure to touch upon her fans, whom she called "unbreakable flowers" because "that's what Lotus means to me;" and also referenced that the white light that appears on the album cover represents the positive light in her life.

'Lotus' is ultimately a celebratory record for Aguilera, who's been a fixture and staple in the industry for over 10 years. Fans will certainly be pleased with the upcoming record, as she clearly sees this as a new and fresh beginning for herself, as well as the fans who've accompanied her on her long journey since the beginning.
