As usual, Disney waited until late afternoon to make a major announcement, but it’s always nice to end the day with some awesome news. Today, it’s the full voice cast ensemble for The Lion King, Jon Favreau’s live-action (-ish) reimagining of the studio’s animated classic — and perhaps the most exciting project on their upcoming (and growing) slate of live-action remakes.

Seriously, I cannot believe Eric Andre is going to voice a character in a Disney movie! He’ll be lending his talents to the role of the lion Azizi. The Lion King is headlined by Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, and Alfre Woodard as Sarabi (Simba’s mom), with James Earl Jones reprising his iconic role as Mufasa. The film co-stars Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa (respectively, of course), John Oliver as Zazu, Florence Kasumba (Black Panther) as Shenzi, Keegan Michael-Key as Kamari, John Kani (Black Panther) as Rafiki, JD McCrary as young Simba, and Shahadi Wright Joseph as young Nala.

Disney has set a July 19, 2019 release for The Lion King, which took over the spot previously occupied by the Indiana Jones sequel.
