Duluth Airshow Shares Good News About Event’s ‘Green Lot’ After Heavy Rain Misses Duluth
UPDATED 07/09/26: Duluth Airshow organizers say that prepaid parking for the Green Lot is open again after concerns over rain impacting the lot were reduced when the heaviest rain earlier this week avoided the Duluth area.
Advanced parking passes can be purchased for this and other lots via the Duluth Airshow website.

Original Story 07/07/26:
Minnesota's largest air show is this weekend, and aviation fans from around the region are getting ready to head to the Duluth International Airport for this year's festivities.
If you are one of those thousands of people, there is a major change being made to the parking situation that was just announced today that you need to be aware of so you can plan ahead.
In an announcement shared late Tuesday morning, officials with the Duluth Airshow announced they have cut off the advanced sales for their "Green Lot" parking, which is the main parking lot near the air show most attendees use.
The reason for shutting down these advanced sales is due to recent rain that, as organizers say, has "made about 1/4 of the lot unusable". With additional, potentially heavy rain in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, that won't help the situation.

The solution officials with the Duluth Airshow are offering is to get parking passes for the "Teal Lot", which is their main shuttle lot on Rice Lake Road at Arrowpointe Medical Center.
Parking in this lot includes a shuttle ride to and from the event, but getting your parking lined up in advance for this lot is highly recommended, as it is limited to 1,200 vehicles, so getting your parking lined up in advance and knowing you have everything ready to go is a very good idea.

Parking for this lot (and all other pre-purchase parking options) is available via the Duluth Airshow website's parking information page.
Thankfully, after rain wraps up on Wednesday, dry conditions are expected Thursday all the way into the weekend, but it's hard to know how much, if at all, that will help improve the parking situation at the Green Lot until we get closer to the weekend.
We'll share any updates as they become available, but for now, it's a good idea to try to plan ahead and get your parking taken care of in advance.
