Duluth Native Maria Bamford Lands a New Show on Netflix [VIDEO]

Maria Bamford is making quite a name for herself in the entertainment industry from stand up comedian to pitch woman for Target and now Netflix.

Bamford's new show "Lady Dynamite" premieres on November 20th on Netflix and delves into a dark period of her life when she was hospitalized three different times for mental illness over a 5 year period. Bamford of course tries to take a humorous look back on these hard times along with a lot of other material as well, with trying to break into the industry and living out in Los Angeles.

I think that it is awesome when you see some of these admittedly quirky people who do not always fit into the social norm or conform to Hollywood standards, but still can be successful. I know for one I am going to tune in, and hope this hometown girl has a successful run. Below is a trailer for her new show.
