Duluth Park & Rec Hosting First Date Night Child Care Event Friday
The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department is hosting their first Date Night Childcare event of the summer on Friday, June 11. It's the perfect opportunity for kids to have fun while parents and guardians get a little alone time.
The June 11 Date Night Childcare event is from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at Enger Park, located at 1601 Enger Tower Drive in Duluth. For just $8, Duluth Parks and Recreation staff will lead fun outdoor activities for kids ages 5 to 12.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to explore Enger Park on their own or leave for a little date night and return to the park at 8:00 p.m. to pick up their kids.
This is a great idea as sometimes taking a couple our hours to grab a bite to eat, go for a walk or even run long overdue errands without the kids is a perfect way to recharge, especially after what has been such a challenging school year due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, the kids will be able to get outside and have some fun that doesn't involve sitting in front of a screen.
This is the first in what is scheduled to be four Date Night Childcare events, all of which take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Here is the complete schedule:
- June 11: Enger Park, 1601 Enger Tower Drive
- July 9: Quarry Park, located at the end of 59th Avenue West in Duluth
- July 23: Lester Park, 61st Avenue East & Superior Street
- August 13: Chambers Grove Park, Highway 23 & 137th Avenue West
