I have crafted a bowl in years past to raise money in the Empty Bowl Fundraiser, Owner of Duluth Pottery Karin Kraemer is taking on the fundraiser hoping to help.

Kraemer is doing the fundraiser to help the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank with the sale going until Saturday, April 17th.

KBJR is reporting that Duluth Pottery is hosting the Empty Bowl Invitational Exhibit and Sale and selling bowls made by local artists. The Sale has been on a bigger scale but this year has been scaled down. This event is just for the bowls, there won't be any food available, but the fundraiser is trying to raise money for people that need the food.

Kraemer told KBJR, She hopes it gives people "A feeling that they can contribute to what's going on in our community and help feed people in this time of need,".

In years past, the bowl was sold with a chance to have it filled up and sit and eat with people but because of COVID that will not happen this year. The Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank still needs your help in feeding people. The empty bowl sale is still happening, but you will have to fill it yourself.
