Explore Minnesota Tourism Adopts Anthony Edwards-Inspired Slogan

For only the second time in the history of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team is heading to the NBA's Western Conference Finals after a historic comeback on Sunday night.

Following the game, Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards made a passing comment that Minnesotans are quickly embracing as a new state slogan. Even Minnesota's statewide tourism organization is jumping on the phrase.

In a postgame interview with the NBA on TNT team, Charles Barkley admits to Anthony Edwards that he hasn't been to Minnesota in 20 years. Without missing a beat, Edwards, known by many fans as simply "Ant" or Ant-Man", commented, "Bring ya a$$".

Absolutely amazing response.

Chuck proceeded to ask for some restaurant recommendations in the Twin Cities, being TNT's NBA crew will be heading to Minnesota to do their show live as part of Wednesday night's Western Conference Finals Game 1 coverage.

Since Ant's comment, Minnesotans on the internet have mobilized to make something of this casually-made slogan for the state.

John Moe posted a question to Minnesota's Governor on X, asking how quickly Walz could make "Minnesota: Bring ya ass" the new state tourism slogan. Walz did respond with they eyes emoji, acknowledging the message without saying anything else.

Someone even mocked up the new welcome sign featuring the slogan.

In what can be seen as an official (albeit, likely a very temporary) move to adopt the phrase, Explore Minnesota shared a post on social media on Monday with the slogan boldy across the middle of an image of the Twin Cities. Along with the image is a message to welcome basketball fans and wishing the Timberwolves good luck.

They've since also purchased the website bringyaass.com, which redirects to Explore Minnesota's website.

Other places in the state have also adopted the new slogan, with places like the Mall of America and the Minnesota State Fair also getting on board.

Standing between the Timberwolves and their first-ever appearance in the NBA Finals are the Dallas Mavericks. Minnesota gets home-court advantage in the best-of-seven series as the highest remaining seed between the two teams.

Game 1 is 7:30 pm Wednesday night at Target Center in Minneapolis. Game 2 will be Friday at 7:30 once again in Minneapolis before the series heads to Dallas for games on May 26 and 28.

If needed, games 5, 6, and 7 will alternate between the two cities with games 5 and 7 in Minnesota.
