The family of one of R. Kelly's alleged victims was reportedly contacted by the FBI "weeks before Lifetime's docuseries began," according to TMZ.

Sources claim the parents of Jocelyn Savage, rumored to have been a sex slave of the R&B singer, were contacted at least five times in the last year and a half. The FBI is said to have made contact with them just before Surviving R. Kelly premiered. Her father, Timothy, is said to have provided the FBI with everywhere he knew Kelly, 52, and his daughter had been, as well as text messages and emails he exchanged with her, since their relationship began.

Much of the information was the same he provided in Lifetime's chilling docuseries. Savage's father detailed predatory behavior and physical abuse his daughter allegedly suffered at the hands of the musician.

The FBI is involved because Kelly is said to have crossed state lines with Savage for sexual purposes while she was still a minor. It's unclear if the agency has launched a formal investigation into the "Ignition" singer, but he is clearly a person they're keeping an eye on. In addition to the FBI's interest, Kelly is facing criminal investigation in Georgia.

Savage's family maintains that Kelly is holding their daughter against her will, but she denies that's the case. The pair were spotted out shopping in April 2018 and, not long after, TMZ spotted Savage on a solo trip in Beverly Hills, California.

Those supporting the #MuteRKelly movement will just have to wait and see where this leads.
