Tomorrow will be a big day for Minnesota Juniors in High School across the state, because that will be the time to bust out the number #2 pencils to take the ACT exam.

For many college bound students this is a right of passage, as unpleasant as it may be, but since the state is picking up the tab every Junior is eligible to take the test at no cost. This was a major undertaking for many school districts, but for our son he is ecstatic because all Freshman, Sophomores and Seniors have the day off at Duluth East High School tomorrow.

Of course some people are against this costly measure saying it should be reserved for kids who are actually planning on going on to College. I for one think it is a great idea because, If a student does well, this may encourage them to pursue a higher education.
