It will take place again at the Iron River Community Center located at 8275 East mill Street, Iron River. The Wisconsin National Guard will once again be assisting the testing facility.

The last time Iron River had a free testing event was on June 18th at the same location. More testing is underway as cases have seen an increase in Bayfield County. On July 6th, the Bayfield County Health Department identified a fourth case of COVID-19 from community spread. It is believed that the patient had attended a large gathering and was exposed at the event, which likely was a hockey tournament on June 27th and 28th in Ashland, Wisconsin. Officials urge anyone who attended that hockey event to get tested for COVID-19. You can get tested at your local clinic, or this upcoming free event on July 10th in Iron River, which once again you do not need to be experiencing symptoms in order to be tested.

Health officials once again remind people to practice COVID-19 prevention methods such as limiting close face-to-face contact with others, and self isolating when feeling ill.
