If you or anyone you know is a Costco member and has recently purchased Kool-Aid mix from the popular retail chain, you need to be aware of a recall that was recently issued involving the popular drink mix.

Costco issued the recall on Friday, November 12 and members who purchased the product in question should have received a notification from the store. However, those can sometimes get lost in the shuffle so it's a good idea to get this out there every way we can.

Here is the official notice issued to Costco customers regarding 82.5 ounce containers of Kool-Air Tropical Punch Mix:

KraftHeinz and the FDA have announced a recall for units with “Best When Used By” dates of 2023-08-31 and 2023-09-01 due to the potential presence of foreign material, specifically very small pieces of metal or glass.

The “Best When Used By” date is located on the bottom of the container.
If you have any product with the “Best When Used By” date of 2023-08-31 or 2023-09-01, do not use and return it to your local Costco for a full refund.

Contact KraftHeinz Consumer Relations at (855) 713-9237 (daily 9am-6pm eastern time) if you have any issues or concerns.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Sincerely,
The Kraft Heinz Company

Obviously, having "very small pieces of metal or glass" in a mix is a potentially dangerous situation, which is compounded by the fact that Kool-Aid tends to be most popular with children.
