Liam Hemsworth reportedly wants "what's best" for Miley Cyrus amid her new romance with Cody Simpson.

After nearly eight months of marriage and over a decade together, the longtime couple announced their separation this summer. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep confirmed in a statement at the time. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

The Hunger Games star later officially filed for divorce on August 21.

But, according to Us Weekly, Hemsworth isn't "harping on the past" and "holds no ill will against" his soon-to-be ex-wife. In fact, sources say "he wants what’s best for her — even if it’s not him."

Meanwhile, another insider previously told the outlet that the actor "hasn’t been dating anyone" but is open to meeting new people." It's unclear if he's put himself out there yet, but so far he's been pretty focused on work.

Plus, since his breakup, Hemsworth's been keeping a relatively low profile unlike Cyrus, who hasn't shied away from dating publicly. Soon after the separation was announced, she was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter on a yacht in Italy. The women dated for a few weeks before calling it quits. Then, less than two weeks later, a video of Cyrus kissing Simpson surfaced online, which led many to accuse her of moving on too fast.

She addressed the critics head-on by posting a lengthy message on social media. In it, she made it clear that she's just having fun and living her life, adding that everyone should get used to her dating. "I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality," she wrote. "Can't I just have a kiss and acai bowl?!?!"
