Ice Man Returns to Superior, Will Give His Giant Ice Sculpture Another Try
Roger Hanson better known as "Iceman" has returned to Barkers Island to begin preparations for the 2016 Ice Sculpture Project.
Hanson has added another sprayer this year to make better use of the shifting North winds. You may remember that Hanson had some trouble last year as his sculpture collapsed before it was finished and he had to start over.
The Ice Sculpture is the center piece for the Lake Superior Ice Project and Festival February 20-27, 2016 on Barker’s Island in Superior. The Festival will consist of an opening ceremony Feb 20th with food, music, bon- fires, fireworks and a Light show choreographed to music. The festival is free and open to the public.
