IKEA Opening a New Location in Minnesota This Week

For those that like trendy, easy to assemble furniture, rejoice, IKEA is opening a new location in Minnesota.

Minnesota currently has one full size IKEA location, located across the street from the Mall of America in Bloomington, this is where you can get the full IKEA experience with their iconic restaurant and over 300,000 square feet of displays and shopping.

IKEA also has a pop-up location open in Maple Grove at the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, this location allows you "self-plan", get quotes, place orders, and coordinate delivery to your home or to the shop. They also have a limited stock of popular items.

Where is The New IKEA in Minnesota?

The new Ikea Roseville Plan & Order Point will open on Friday, December 13th at Rosedale Center. This isn’t your traditional Ikea warehouse. Instead, it’s a more focused space where shoppers can browse items like cabinet fronts, kitchen knobs, and closet systems.

Customers can also meet with Ikea team members to plan home projects and place orders for delivery or pick-up. IKEA experimented with a pop-up showroom in Roseville earlier this year, it was such a success that they have decided to make this new store a permeant location.

Why is IKEA Expanding in Minnesota?

Javier Quiñones, CEO of IKEA U.S.said in a press release, "We have been testing different store formats to enhance customer convenience, make home delivery more cost-efficient and reach our customers where they live, work and socialize."
