DECC Hosting First Ever ‘Gourd Days’ Event

I said something a little controversial earlier today: I thought it completely felt like fall yesterday in Duluth and Cloquet! It was windy and chilly at times.

I know summer is not over yet and I am not entirely ready for it to be over but I am definitely not going to be mad when fall rolls around. Let's put it that way.

While some people aren't ready to let summer go, there are many people that just simply can't wait for fall and all that it brings: pumpkin spice everything, cooler weather and scary movies.

If you're one of those people that can't wait, there is the perfect event for you coming up in early October at the DECC: their first ever Gourd Days event! Count me in.

DECC Hosting First Ever 'Gourd Days' Event This October

I cannot wait for this! Join the DECC for a weekend of fun beginning on Friday, October 3rd and continuing through the 5th. This event is just like the Duluth Winter Village but with all things fall.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and is free of charge! It will take place at the Baywalk at the Harbor Seawall next to the DECC. You won't be able to miss it! Get ready for all the pumpkin things.

What To Do At The First Ever 'Gourd Days' In Duluth

Grab your flannel and get ready for fun seasonal drinks, likely pumpkin spice. There will also be a pumpkin bounce house, which is perfect, and a 'lakeside twist' on the classic hayride. A boat ride perhaps?

There will also be shopping with gifts from local artisans. Of course, all vendors will have a fun fall twist. I can't think of a better way to ring in the new season. Is it Halloween yet? Okay, I'll stop.
