The thought of another tax scam is not all that surprising, right? It turns out there is yet another tax scam reported in Wisconsin. If you aren't familiar with all of the ins and outs of your tax forms, this may be something you would fall for easily.

This scam was reported in Dunn County, which is just a few hours from the Twin Ports. Officials in Dunn County warned locals about the scam just a few days ago, saying that scammers were targeting people in the area via phone call.

The Treasurer's Office in Dunn County was the one that was notified about the scam. According to their post, at least one person in the area received a call from someone pretending to be an official. The scammers said that the taxed the victim filed in the county were "delinquent" and as a result, their property was going to be taken.

If you get a call like this, hang up and contact the organization or office the scammer claims to be. That way, you don't get scammed out of money or have your information stolen. With so many tax scams every year, it can be hard to keep track of what is or isn't legitimate.

It's likely that you wouldn't have your property seized because you had an error with your taxes but if you don't know everything about that sort of stuff, you may not know any better. I know I probably wouldn't! If you have any questions about your property or taxes, you can always reach out and ask first.

Recently, I tried to get tickets to see Taylor Swift and I was shocked by how many scammers there were! Some were obvious but there was one scammer who seemed like they actually had tickets at first. Let's just hope scammers run out of ways to scam people.
