It's a sad day for downtown Duluth. A popular business just announced it will be closing its doors next month. That business? Reimagined, by T. Underwood. The store sells home decor and such in the heart of the downtown area.

The store also sells antiques, decor with a vintage flair, gifts and the like. It is located along West 1st Street, next to the Holiday Center and just down the block from the YMCA. I always pass the store on my way in to work and it always stuck out in the best way.

Reimagined is more than just a store. They also offer home staging, interior design and e-design services, according to their website. They also put together creative workshops, and offer decluttering, space planning and furniture restoration services.

The store will be closing in mid-March, although an exact date has not been given. The store owner, Tammy Underwood, shared news of the closure on social media Thursday (February 2nd).

She shared the sad news with a photo and a long caption, citing a few different reasons for the closure. Among those reasons? A lack of traffic and parking in front of the storefront, rising costs for supplies and rough economic times.

The store opened in July of 2019 and held a grand opening ceremony to celebrate. Just a year later, the store added the Cahoots Co-Op to its storefront. This allowed artists and small business owners to sell some of their items in the store and allow them a chance to get more exposure.

The silver lining here is that the store is still open through February, so you have time to shop and say goodbye one last time. This is not the first downtown Duluth business to close as of late. In late October, the Elevate Wellness store across the street announced that it would be closing the same month.
