We made it through January which was not easy considering how cold it was! The first month of the year being cold in Minnesota is obvious but it was even colder than usual. It was brutal but we did it.

In comparison, February has felt warm so far. Being in the double digits has been a treat to say the least. However, it looks like winter will be back next week in a major way, not that it ever fully went away.

One weather analyst is sharing an outlook for the rest of the month and according to his forecast, which is always spot-on, the midwest has some winter storm potential over the next few weeks.

We've really only had one or two major snowstorms so far this season so we are definitely due for another one. Let's dive into his forecast.

Midwest Weather Shares February Winter Storm Outlook For Minnesota

According to Midwest Weather, who has a huge following on social media, we could see the return of snow and cold temperatures as soon as next week. It is a little too early to see exactly where these storms will track and the exact timing of things, but you can start preparing now at least!

What we do know right now, according to Midwest Weather's forecast, is that snow is not out of the question for most of Minnesota and all of Wisconsin next week:

A warmer pattern next week will lead to snow chances being higher in the Upper Midwest, with the storm track shifting south after.

The video also details that temperatures could definitely trend cold yet again during this period so at least we are used to it by now, right?

The Old Farmer's Almanac echoes a similar sentiment, predicting that cold weather will return for the second half of the month, along with a mix of rain and snow. We will have to wait and see what happens but PLEASE not another cold snap.
