Why Minnesota Farmers Could Now Secretly Be Buffalo Bills Fans
We are less than 90 days from the start of the 2026-2027 NFL season, and there is plenty of content coming out of the NFL and its 32 teams. One NFL QB was recently on a podcast and told the hosts that the NFL isn't as demanding as working on a farm, which might make a few Minnesota farmers start rooting for this QB, as he gets it.
Josh Allen Gets It
Josh Allen was recently on a podcast, Like A Farmer, and made it clear that while the NFL is a tough place to build a career, it's nothing like working on a farm.
"The stuff I'm doing is hard. The working out, the keeping your body in shape… It's not harder than moving irrigation pipe in 115 degrees."
Josh grew up in California on his parents' 3000-acre farm and had chores to do, just like kids here do.
It's great to see that his childhood chores on the farm are keeping him humble, and perhaps winning over producers in states other than New York and California.
Other Athletes Don't Seem As Relatable
I'll admit that I don't follow Josh Allen as much as other NFL fans might, my focus is usually on the purple and gold, but hearing him talk about keeping his career in perspective, knowing things could always be 'tougher' for him if he was back working on the farm, makes me want to pay more attention this year.

It's not often that you can relate to superstars in sports, but many rural Minnesota kids can relate to hearing what chores Josh had to do growing up. To me, it makes him appear to be more relatable than other big-name players in the league.
