Karl-Anthony Towns’ Mother Dies After COVID-19 Battle

Sad day for Minnesota sports fans.

Earlier today we learned that former Vikings QB Tavaris Jackson died in a car accident, now we are hearing about the death of the mother to one of the state's biggest sports stars due to COVID-19.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns’ mother Jacqueline passed away today, the family released the following statement:

“The matriarch of the Towns family, she was an incredible source of strength, a fiery, caring, and extremely loving person, who touched everyone she met. Her passion was palpable and her energy will never be replaced.”

Jacqueline had been in a medically induced coma since late March. Here is the video that KAT posted on Instagram on March 24th giving an update on his mom.
