When the NFL season kicks off September 8th in Green Bay, Kid Rock and Lady Antebellum could be among the artists who will take part in the festivities.

Of course, for now, it's just a rumor.  According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, the identity of the headline act remained a mystery.

The agenda calls for street closures east of Lambeau Field as organizers turn the area into a concert venue, according to a schedule distributed to area business representatives Monday.

Green Bay's Stadium View Bar & Grille owner Jerry Watson said business owners weren't told who would perform, but said rumors center on a Michigan-based rap-rocker.  (Hint, hint: Kid Rock?)

The Green Bay Packers host the New Orleans Saints, and the opening concert could possibly not only include Kid Rock and Lady A but also Maroon 5. Reportedly, Jill Scott will sing the national anthem.

NOTE: "The NFL has made no announcement or confirmation of any kind regarding the acts."

However, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that Kid Rock at the game is a sure bet.
