Minnesotans Will Love Kraft’s Newest Food Creation, Even If It Isn’t Intended For Us
If you've been following the coverage around the World Cup at all, you've probably caught a few stories about visitors from other countries really indulging in - or falling in love with.
Besides reports of bars being drunk completely out of beer, ranch has been getting headlines.
That's right, the go-to condiment for so many Minnesotans is having a moment right now.
We here in Minnesota love us some ranch. While it's not my first choice personally, I get the appeal. While it's a salad dressing or a veggie dip at its most basic level, I know people who put it on pizza, burgers, fries, and a bunch of other foods.

As people have been visiting the United States for the World Cup, they've been discovering and falling in love with this versatile, creamy condiment that they can't get at home. That's raised a bit of a problem.
People have been trying to fly home with bottles of ranch, but your average ranch container is too big to pass through TSA screenings at the airport and pass the liquid rules for carry-on bags.
Kraft saw this challenge and has decided to step in and create TSA-compliant ranch packets.
The food company announced the news last week, sharing that while the image in their Instagram post is "partially AI-generated", they will be making this into a real product soon.
They actually ended their post saying to stay tuned for how to get your own, emphasizing that they are working on making this a real thing.
While visitors to the United States might be the reason for this new creation, Minnesotans might be among the true beneficiaries.
All of those people I know who put ranch on pretty much everything they eat will be able to bring ranch with them on trips, which will allow them to slather their favorite dressing onto foods while visiting other places, bringing a little taste of home with them.

Aside from not sharing a timeline quite yet, Kraft also hasn't said whether this will be a temporary, promotional thing or a long-term offering from the company.
If I had to guess, I'd bet they roll this out as a limited-time offering for the summer; maybe even the type of thing where you can only get it through their website.
We should know more soon. In the meantime, shoutout to Kraft for seeing a need and working to meet it. Hidden Valley, how are you going to match them?
