Combining sweet and savory is a bold food move that, if done correctly, can pay off well. That's just what one Minnesota restaurant is doing with this unique burger creation.

I've heard of breakfast burgers and I've had burgers that add in things like peanut butter & jelly or a sweet & spicy jam, but this one is totally new. Imagine a burger with a cinnamon roll bun. Yup. One Minnesota eatery is going there.

The Central Minnesota restaurant Ernies on Gull on Gull Lake between Baxter and Nisswa in the Brainerd Lakes Area recently dropped a teaser that the creation will be coming to the menu of their patio bar this summer.

While the restaurant hasn't given too many details on what all is included inside this beast they are calling the "Cinnabon Burger", the photo (below) shows a cinnamon roll, cut in half, with a burger patty inside. The cinnamon roll "bun" is drizzled with icing, just like you'd expect with a cinnamon roll. There's also what appears to be some thick-cut bacon on top of that burger patty.

While Ernie's shared a photo of this burger, it will be available at the restaurant's satellite eatery On Point Burger Co., which is a seasonal lakeside smash burger spot to grab a quick (and tasty) meal on the shore of Gull Lake.

Ernies says the burger will be available starting in May. In the meantime, fans of the restaurant on social media have thoughts on the new burger.

While some people seemed leery of the creation, others (like myself) are intrigued.

One person used some pretty simple logic to decide if they want to try it. They said "Cinnamon roll .. good! Burger … good! I want to try it." That's kind of where I'm at with this thing, too.

One person suggested they thought it might be better with a sausage patty and fried egg to make it a full-on breakfast burger. I bet that would be great too, but I don't doubt this will be good as it is.

The rest of the On Point Burger Co. menu (which doesn't yet have this new burger on it) can be seen here. It includes some classic smash burgers and specialty ones like a quesadilla burger and the "El Fuego" with a ghost pepper aioli, jalapeños, pepper jack, and bacon. Yuuuuum.
