Minnesotans continue to feel the pinch at the pump as fuel prices continue to push upward since the start of the military conflict with Iran earlier this year.

As of today (September 15, 2026), the statewide average for gas prices in Minnesota is $4.22 per gallon, which is slightly lower than the national average today of $4.32, according to AAA.

As drivers know, not everywhere in Minnesota is seeing the same gas prices across the state.

While the statewide average today is $4.22 per gallon for gasoline, prices reported around the state are as low as $4.01 in Wilkin County in Western Minnesota and as high as $4.39 in Cook County in Northeastern Minnesota. That's about a 20-cent-per-gallon range on either side of the average in parts of the state.
