The public is learning that the woman behind the Twin Cities home known as the "Tulip House" has passed away.

Lisa Stortz was the owner of this Minneapolis home, which has become a popular destination each spring. Fans of the springtime destination have been having a conversation in the last few days, sharing her obituary that highlighs the woman behind this home.

Friends and family said being with Lisa "was always an experience", noting she brought out a spirit of joy, fun, and energy wherever she went. They also say Lisa "had a magical way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable ones".

An example of her vibrant zest for life and desire to share joy with others is her iconic South Minneapolis home. It has become known as the "Tulip House" over the years, drawing hundreds of visitors each spring to enjoy the countless of beautiful tulips and other flowers that line her corner lot.

After having heard about it for a few years, I finally made a point to visit her home this spring. Along with the wealth of colorful beauty surrounding her home, you get a sense of Lisa's spirit with signage that openly welcomes visitors.

Included in this is a little plaque near the sidewalk that expresses how her hope was that the flowers brought some brightness and joy to the day of everyone who visited.
