Minnesota Vikings Say Goodbye to Adrian Peterson
The Minnesota Vikings are parting ways with Adrian Peterson.
The Vikings announced today that they will not exercise the 2017 option on RB Adrian Peterson’s contract. AP will become an unrestricted free agent on Thursday, March 9.
“Adrian is an important part of the Minnesota Vikings organization,” said Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman. “We will continue to have conversations with his representatives and leave our future options open while determining what is best for both parties moving forward.”
Peterson was set to be paid a $6 million bonus on March 11 and another $11.75 million for the upcoming season, and another $250,000 workout bonus for a total of $18 million.
Peterson will leave the Vikings with 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns.
Of course, there is a chance that All Day test's the open market and doesn't get an offer he likes and the Vikings offer him a deal and he stays with the team, I doubt that happens, but we will see.
