Wait, White Castle Has A Hall Of Fame? These Minnesotans Just Got In
There is no middle ground when it comes to White Castle. Either you love those tiny, tasty, mushy, onion-infused burgers or you hate them. No one just "kind of" likes the iconic American brand.
And for those who love their burgers—called Sliders—this news may give you a new life goal: being inducted into the White Castle Hall of Fame. Yes, White Castle has its own HOF, and three Minnesotans were just added to the latest class of inductees.

White Castle's Hall of Fame Just Welcomed 3 Minnesotans
Created in 2001 and officially known as the Cravers Hall of Fame, White Castle has honored 273 loyal fans over the years. Now, 14 more "Cravers" are joining their ranks as part of the 2024 class.
Representing Minnesota this year is Sean Ruecker of St. Paul, who brings White Castle to his office every week for lunch, introducing many of his coworkers to Sliders for the first time.

Don Graffam of Shoreview also made the list. Introduced to White Castle by his dad decades ago, Don has since introduced hundreds of people, his sons and colleagues included, to what he calls White Castle's "irresistible little burgers."
Finally, there's Gary Schwartz and Denny Schwartz from Minneapolis, and Steve Uppman of Plymouth. The trio are being inducted together. Back in 1967, brothers Gary and Denny, along with their friend Steve, started an annual tradition: a Slider-eating contest the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year will mark the 59th annual Slider Showdown. The current record? A whopping 34 Sliders.
A Celebration Fit for a Craver
All 14 inductees were flown in for a grand reception in their honor, where, unsurprisingly, many Sliders were likely served. Each honoree also received a plaque, and their stories will be featured on White Castle Slider boxes throughout the year.
