NERD ALERT: Ranking of the Nerdiest States in the Country Unveiled

While we all have a little nerd in us (admit it, you've geeked out on at least one comic book super hero movie), what state in the United States is the nerdiest of them all? Thanks to a new piece of research, we now know the answer.

The study (conducted by real estate search engine Estately) used Facebook data to see what percentage of users shared nerdy interests based on likes of things like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and other fantasy or sci-fi things. It turns out that Utah is the country's nerd Mecca, while Washington DC is the last place you want to be LARPing.

As far as the breakdown for our area goes, Minnesota ranks pretty low on the list, falling at #36, while Wisconsin is much more nerd-friendly at #14. Check out the whole list below.
