It's been about a month since the new hands-free law went into effect and now we know a little bit more about how many Minnesotans weren't following the new rules of the road.

Minnesota State Patrol broke things down from the first month on their Facebook page Thursday (August 29th). They broke things down by age and gender and the findings are interesting. Take a look:

Ah! Those are some interesting statistics.

For some reason, I thought more than 1,600 people would get pulled over for not abiding by the law. It also surprises me that people in their 20s and 30s were the age group that got pulled over the most. I for sure thought it would be teens or people under 20. Huh!

In the first week of the hands-free law, around 500 motorists got pulled over. In fact, on the very first day the law went into effect, someone was pulled over for texting their friend about the new hands-free law. The irony.
