Electric cars will sooner or later become more and more apart of everyday commuting across the world and that means increased contact with walking humans, which leads to another problem, electric cars are silent, no engine noise, so it's not a stretch to believe that this silence could lead to more pedestrian injuries and deaths, so Audi is getting ahead of the curve and adding sound to it's latest electric car.

The German car manufacturer is using an acoustics engineer to invent a realtime technique of generating synthetic motor sounds to help warn pedestrians and cyclists of surrounding traffic.

So what do you think? Do you like the sound of future cars? Personally I think they should make them sound like the cars in 'The Jetson's'.
