Parts of Duluth’s Lakewalk Will Close This Week for Construction

Expect some daytime closures on Duluth's Lakewalk this week as crews do some work on the popular Duluth attraction.

The crews will be working between the Fitger’s Complex and Endion Station starting Monday, July 23rd. Crews will be using large equipment and for safety concerns, traffic will be closed while they work during the day.

According to Duluth Parks, "the closure is necessary to conduct soil borings as part of the engineering and design work to help advance the repair and restoration of the storm damaged areas of the Lakewalk Trail."

Traffic will be detoured into Lake Place Park and at the Portland Malt Shoppe stairs by Fitger’s.
