Add this one to the list of recalls you should note.

On Saturday, it was announced that certain RAGÚ pasta sauces in the United States are being recalled because they may contain plastic.

According to the press release, nobody has been injured and no one has filed a complaint. The recall is voluntary. 

The company behind the popular pasta sauce is asking that those with the brand in their pantry or fridge take a very close look to make sure the jars are not impacted by the recall. If a jar is impacted, you are asked to throw it away.

The following RAGÚ sauces are the only ones impacted by this recall:

  • Chunky Tomato Garlic & Onion
    • 66 ounces

  • Old World Style Traditional
    • 66 ounces

If you have any of the above, you are asked to call 800-328-7248 any weekday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and you will be sent a new jar.

Earlier this month, nearly 100,000 pounds of Johnsonville sausage was recalled for the possibility of the items being contaminated with green plastic.
