Master P and his family have pulled up roots from California and moved across the country settling in Minneapolis. The reason for the move was a family member of his who lives in the Twin Cities became ill and he is here to take care of them.

Two of his sons that are standout basketball players for the Redhawk boys basketball team and this past weekend his son Hercy Miller was center stage at Target Center for a special tournament against the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers led by the sons of NBA players LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Hercy transferred to Minnehaha Academy from a school in California.

Master P. was quite the basketball player back in the day as well playing with two NBA teams: The Charlotte Hornets and the Toronto Raptors during the late 1990s, so it comes as know surprise that his kids play as well, and are very successful. According to KARE11 Before the game Saturday, Master P, said he encouraged his kids and told them never to worry about an underdog label.

Master P went on to say  “It is like David and Goliath. He took a sling shot and took the giant down. We don't worry about size. We don't worry about names. When you get on that court it is you and the other player. If you don't put the work in, we will expose you.”

The Redhawks dominated Sierra Canyon 78-58 in the matchup at Target Center with 17,000 people in attendance for the game which is generally a larger crowd then Timberwolves games. Master P. has stated that he wants to share his business success with members of the Twin Cities community and future entrepreneurs.
