Ray Szmanda ‘Menards Guy’ Dead at 91

The longtime spokesman for Menards home improvement stores, known best as the 'Menards Guy' has died at the age of 91.

The 'Menards Guy' is Ray Szmanda, he was best known for saying the phrase “Save big money at Menards” at the end of Menards commercials.

Szmanda started the job in 1976 and hasn't done a commercial for Menards in about 20 years, but it still remembered as the 'Menards Guy'.

Szmanda's son, Charles, announced the death of his dad on Facebook and shared some photos of his dad and a couple of fond memories.

The 'Menards Guy' had a very specific look with the blue Menards shirt and his large black-rimmed glasses, that had no lenses by the way.
