He was charged with 29 felony counts including six attempted murder charges following the June 2023 shooting. Court documents say the shooting followed a fight.
Last month he entered a plea agreement that called for him to admit to four of the charges in exchange for the dismissal of the 25 other counts. A judge ruled he was competent to stand trial last December.
La Crosse County Court documents accuse 34-year-old Deandrew S. Grant of wounding six people when he fired multiple gunshots from a vehicle.
Camera footage showed the SUV traveling the wrong way on a one-way street in the 100 block of 3rd St. South, an area of La Crosse populated by several bars and restaurants.
The footage shows windows of surrounding bars and restaurants being broken out by apparent gunfire on the morning of June 17, 2023, the complaint says.
Grant was apprehended without incident about six hours after the shooting.
